Dual-delivery of the November 2020 psychology exam

01 Sep 2020

The November 2020 sitting of the national psychology exam will be offered by dual-delivery. This means that candidates can choose to sit the exam in a test centre (where available) or by online proctoring (OLP).

Online proctoring (OLP) is a secure way that exams can be offered remotely via the internet in your home or workplace (where available).

Candidates can register for an exam at any of the open testing venues across Australia, and should circumstances at the venue change, change their registration to OLP (and vice versa).

This flexibility will support candidates in completing their requirements for general registration in a timely manner while acknowledging the differing lockdown policies in operation in the various states and territories across the nation.

We have published information on the website about online proctoring. We strongly encourage exam candidates and supervisors to review our FAQs about online proctoring to help you understand the rules and requirements for OLP, and to help you determine the best exam option for you.

We will update you about the plans for the exam sittings in 2021 as COVID-19 evolves, we know more about the relaxation of restrictions, and the situation becomes clearer. We encourage you to maintain your study plan and continue preparing for the exam.

What do I need to do now?

You must carefully read the FAQ about the requirements for online proctoring in preparation for the exam.

If you wish to sit the exam in November, please go to the exam portal and make a booking before close of business on 16 October 2020. You must select whether you would like to sit the exam in a test center or by online proctoring.

The earlier you book your exam the more likely you will be able to secure your preferred timeslot. The exam registration period opens on 7 September 2020.
