Sydney office temporarily closed to public access but our work continues

30 Mar 2020

The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) remains open for business while in-person services are temporarily suspended in Sydney.

The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) is temporarily closing its Sydney office to public access as of 5pm local time on Monday 30 March as a precaution given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Ahpra is an essential service and we remain open. Please contact Ahpra on 1300 419 495 or contact us online to make alternative arrangements.

We’ve moved to remote working to be able to continue our important services while adhering to the government’s social distancing direction.

We have introduced changes to the practitioner presenting in person requirements and registrants are now able to upload forms online.

The temporary closure of in-person services at our Sydney office follows that of our Canberra, Melbourne, Perth, Darwin and Hobart offices last week.

Like many organisations we need to restrict face-to-face interactions to protect us all and enable us to keep providing services during the COVID-19 pandemic. We’re doing our bit to help flatten the curve so our health system can cope and people get the care they need.

We hope to reopen our offices as soon as possible. We’ll continue to publish updates for practitioners on the COVID-19 updates page of our website.
