Focus group invitation: Mandatory reporting for health practitioners

31 May 2019

Registered psychologists from across Australia are invited to participate in a focus group about mandatory reporting of health practitioners.

The focus group has been organised by the Australian Psychological Society (APS), the Psychology Board of Australia and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

The mandatory reporting provisions in the National Law were recently revised. To support this, the Psychology Board of Australia and AHPRA will be consulting on revised Guidelines for mandatory notifications later this year.

The aim of the focus group is for registered psychologists to provide information to help aid the development of clear and accessible resources and communications about mandatory reporting for practitioners across 16 health professions (including psychology) to make sure it is easy to understand. Your participation and input will benefit more than 740,000 registered health practitioners across Australia.

It will be held on Wednesday 12 June 2019, 19.00 to 20.30 (AEST).
