The goal of a National Registration and Accreditation Scheme was realised in October 2010 when Western Australian joined the scheme and for the first time all psychologists in Australia were included on a single register. This meant that for the first time it became possible to produce accurate reports on the number of psychologists registered in Australia.

In November 2010 the Psychology Board of Australia released the first national registration data profiling Australia’s psychology workforce including a number of statistical breakdowns about registrants.
