Board-approved supervisor training providers deliver competency-based supervisor training programs to psychologists in Australia, within the context of the regulation of the profession in the public interest.
The Psychology Board of Australia (the Board) is now inviting expressions of interest from organisations, groups and individuals to act as a Board-approved supervisor training provider for the next five-year approval period, from 1 January 2019 to 31 December 2023.
Applicants may apply for approval to deliver any one or more components of supervisor training:
The Board is committed to ensuring national coverage of training delivery in both urban and regional areas, and is particularly interested in applicants who can deliver full training part two in regional locations and/or master class training via videoconference. Multiple training providers will be selected to facilitate the delivery of supervisor training nationally, and to ensure the availability of a complete range of training components.
Applicants are encouraged to view advance copies of the new Guidelines for supervisor training providers and the Guidelines for supervisors for information about the Board’s supervisor training requirements. Applicants should also view the Application guide and the Selection criteria summary for applicants for more information about this expression of interest process which can be seen in the Supporting information and documents section at the bottom of this page.
The application period is open for six weeks, from 2 July 2018 until 10 August 2018 5:00PM Australian Eastern Standard Time.
Applicants must register on AHPRA’s eProcure portal to submit an application. Registration is free of charge. Registered applicants can log in to the eProcure portal to view and respond to the application questions, and to view supporting documents. Applicants can complete their application in increments, save their progress, and return to the application at any time during the application period.
Applications must be completed online using eProcure and submitted by the deadline. Applicants must provide all information specified in the online application, and it is important that all information is clear, correct and complete. There will be no opportunity to submit late applications or to add information to an application after the application period closes.
Applications that are incomplete or submitted outside of the eProcure system (e.g. by email) will not be considered.
The outcome of this EOI process is anticipated to be announced in November 2018.
If applicants are uncertain about the information required in any part of the online application, they are encouraged to submit questions through eProcure. For fairness and transparency, all questions will be de-identified and will be distributed with their answers through eProcure to all registered applicants.
The deadline for submission of questions is 20 July 2018, 5:00PM AEST. Questions submitted after this deadline or submitted outside of the Procure system (e.g. by email) will not be answered.
